Mit der Spielwarenmesse 2014 kam dieses neuartige Modellbau-Segmant aus den USA auf den deutschen Markt. Die Vorlagen sind mit einem Laser aus Edelstahlblechen ausgeschnitten. Der Laserschnitt ermöglicht hier höchste Präzision und Detailgenauigkeit.
Die Bauteile lassen sich leicht aus dem Metallbogen heraustrennen. Anhand der Bauanleitung werden sie gefaltet, zusammengesetzt und an den Verbindungsstellen umgebogen.
Für das Falten empfehlen wir ein Werkzeug mit fester, gerader Kante (z.B. ein stabiles Lineal oder ein Falzstab), für das Umbiegen der Verbindungsstellen eine feine Zange, eine stabile Pinzette oder auch einen kleinen Schraubendreher. Die Einzelteile werden nicht geklebt, sondern durch die Falzung fixiert.
Die Schwierigkeitsgrad reichen von 1=leicht bis 10=schwer. Aus unserer Erfahrung benötigt man für Modelle mit Schwierigkeit >6 schon etwas Fingerfertigkeit, Erfahrung und Geduld. Man wird aber durch das Ergebnis, das fertige Modell belohnt.
